Trivandrum: Continuing with the tradition of screening critically acclaimed and beautifully woven movies, this Saturday, it will be the award winning movie Wintertochter directed by Johannes Schmid at the Goethe Zentrum in Thiruvananthapuram. The 2011 movie, also known as Winter's Daughter, portrays a young Polish girl’s search for her Russian sailor father.

Prathidhwani to organise 'qisa’ film festival @ Technopark
Trivandrum: Prathidhwani, an association of employees working in Technopark, is organising ‘qisa’ the first of its kind short film festival in September. The 'qisa’ film festival will showcase short films made or directed by techies. qisa will also be a forum for budding filmmakers and movie enthusiasts in Technopark to mingle and explore the art of short cinema.
Goethe Zentrum to screen Strum this Saturday
Trivandrum: Goethe Zentrum is screening the critically acclaimed German movie ‘Strum’ (Storm) directed by Hans-Christian Schmidt on July 07, 2012. The film released in 2009 has won eight awards and seven nominations at several international film festivals.
Cinéclub @ Alliance Française de Trivandrum
Tvm: Alliance Française de Trivandrum in association with the Embassy of France in India is organizing a Cinéclub, with film screening every last Saturday of the month. It is aimed at providing a platform for film enthusiasts and giving a taste of contemporary French cinema. The inaugural session on February 25, 2012 will have a screening of Changement d'adresse (Change of Address), a film by Emmanuel Mouret at 5 pm.

Halbe Treppe is a powerful depiction of daily life at the German-Polish border, made through an inventive creative method.
DocEdge documentary festival at Goethe Zentrum Oct 15-16
Tvm: Taking a deviation from the path of feature films, Goethe Zentrum, Trivandrum is presenting DocEdge, a documentary festival that will feature 11 award-winning documentaries, selected entries from the DOK Leipzig Film Festival, as well as other award-winning films from the Baltic States, China and India. Entry is free to the screenings in the evenings.
