TMA meet on IT Sector & e-Governance in Kerala on Jan 29

Trivandrum: Trivandrum Management Association (TMA), an affiliate of All India Management Association (AIMA) and an apex body of management professionals based in the capital city, is organising a meet on IT and e-Governance initiatives in Kerala on January 29. Minister for IT & Industries, Shri P K Kunhalikutty will address the meet on recent initiatives in IT Sector and e-Governance in the State.

P H Kurian IAS, Principal Secretary - IT, Government of Kerala, will speak on the roadmap envisaged for e-Governance in the State and Sanjay Vijayakumar, CEO of MobMe Solutions will address on Future Speak - the Start up Boom at the event to be hosted by Dr. Jayasankar Prasad, Director, Kerala State IT Mission (KSITM).

Kerala’s e-governance initiatives have recently gained momentum with more stakeholders from participating organisations as well as the general public using it effectively. KSITM, the nodal agency for implementation of various IT initiatives of the government, has ensured free flow of information and 24x7 access through Internet. KSITM has successfully undertaken the e-governance initiatives through developing necessary infrastructure like network connectivity, establishment of data centres and service centres; providing platforms like service delivery gateways, portal and service delivery projects and many common / shared applications for transparency, efficacy in administration and security of data.

Kerala has set an ambitious target of becoming a 100% digital State in governance and the initiative in this regard has been taken considering the pace of developments in the IT, ITeS and e-Governance sectors.

Established in 1985, TMA is a forum of practising management professionals in Thiruvananthapuram and neighbouring districts of Tamil Nadu. The organization is working hard for the excellence of business management in Kerala by conducting management education and industrial training.
