Rubber Board's new website to promote Indian Natural Rubber

Kottayam: The Kottayam based Rubber Board has launched a new website for the promotion of ‘Indian Natural Rubber’ brand. The website (www.indiannaturalrubber.com) provides all natural rubber trade related information at a single point for all the stakeholders across the value chain.

The website was inaugurated by Sheela Thomas IAS, Chairman, Rubber Board in a meeting of the natural rubber exporters and dealers, convened as part of the stakeholders meet for formulation of 12th Plan schemes of the Board. The objective behind branding of Indian natural rubber is to assure quality of the produce and thereby capture international market.

The website, hosted by the Rubber Board, provides quality parameters of branded rubber, tracking facility to buyers to confirm the details of rubber certified by the Board, ‘Virtual Trade Fair’ to promote exporters of branded natural rubber, current market news and other news influencing natural rubber market. Daily price update in domestic and international markets (spot & futures) is another speciality of the site. It also contains information on various schemes operated by the Market Promotion Department, details of rubber wood companies, various trade policies related to natural rubber, data relating to price of various grades of natural rubber, export and import of natural rubber, etc. The website also provides links to other useful websites associated with rubber.

B Biju, Asst. Director; Dr. Binoi Kurian, Dy. Director; Viju Chacko, Director - Finance and Dr. Kuruvilla Jacob, Secretary - in charge were among those present.
