The new CEO of Wipro, Mr. T.K. Kurien, has proved by his years of service with Wipro that he can deliver the goods. A simple man with high thinking, he will be able to lead the team in the proper direction. He is sure of the goal, i.e. to ensure that Wipro does not fall back upon its ranking and ensure that each of the divisional managers working under him would have to be accountable on a day to day basis. The task is arduous, but it is achievable given the way Wipro has been working over the years. One reader had underestimated the potential of Malayaleees. Malayalees are hard working, dedicated, sincere and they will do anything to accomplish the tasks assigned to them. That is why they are there the world over in whatever position they may be. From the interview, it is clear that the new CEO knows the potential and strengths of Wipro and the team working for him. He feels that the full potential of Wipro has not been tapped yet, for which he would go all out to see that the company goes in the desired direction. Let us all wait and see what this new CEO has to do for Wipro. I am sure that he would take the company to new heights and he will not belittle the efforts of the pioneers of the company who have stood with the company all along in good and bad times. There are expectations from across the world as to how Wipro would be shaped under Mr. Kurien’s leadership, but given the excellent infrastructure and capacity that Wipro has built over the years, the task would not be hard to accomplish.
