Tata Elxsi adopts Microsoft’s Unified Communication Services

Trivandrum: Tata Elxsi, the embedded product design and professional services arm of the Tata Group, has adopted Microsoft’s Unified Communication (UC) services for better collaboration among their employees. Under Microsoft’s UC bouquet of services, Tata Elxsi has deployed Office 365 E1 including Exchange Online, Lync Online, Sharepoint Online, and Office Professional Plus.

Deployment of UC services for Tata Elxsi was the need of the hour as better collaboration is a necessity in their global operations with an international customer base and a strong offshore services business model. Currently, Office 365 products will serve 4,000 users and the quantity can be scaled up in the future as the company expects robust enhancement in their headcount. The new Unified Communication services give Tata Elxsi’s employees the ability to communicate better with each other.

This will support real time communication between employees, customers and partners enabling faster decision making and greater efficiency. Such tools are pivotal in the future expansion of the company as most of the business deals are global in nature and require intensive communication and collaboration among functions, teams and individuals across geographies and development centres.
