Trivandrum: Two techies working in Technopark have come up with an online store to celebrate the warmth and joy of Christmas. Developed by Anish John and Arun A S, employees of BreezeGo Solutions, the launch of the e-commerce portal - Pulkoodu.com has yet again proved Technopark to be a breeding ground of innovative ideas. The site offers a wide range of Christmas products, gifts and goodies.
According to Anish, a web developer, “Pulkoodu.com became an instant hit as queries and orders started pouring in within hours of the site going live. The site offers Christmas crib (pulkoodu) sets, Christmas trees, serial lights and all decoration items which will be delivered at home, on time and free of charge, with which you can make this a dream Christmas.”
Arun adds that the online prices are much cheaper than the shops in the city as they are sourcing the products in bulk from other locations and the benefits are passed on to the customers by way of lower prices. As of now Pulkood.com offers home delivery only within Thiruvananthapuram city limits with Cash on Delivery policy and hence the customers can rest assured that the order will be delivered on time.
The duo plans to donate 5% of sales to various charity institutions within the city so that the needy can also enjoy and celebrate the merriness of Christmas and the happiness of the New Year. They plan to add more products like cakes and crackers in the coming days.
It may be recalled that a similar venture, malapadakkam.com, was launched by few techies in Technopark for selling crackers online before Diwali.
