Flytxt to launch Hadoop Developer forum in Kerala

Tvm: Flytxt, the Technopark based technology leader in mobile marketing and advertising, will be launching a Hadoop Developer forum in Kerala soon. As the first step towards this goal, Flytxt today hosted a Developer to Developer Big Data Workshop on ‘Harnessing Hadoop for Big Data Analytics’.

Over 60 technology enthusiasts and application developers attended the first of its kind Hadoop workshop held in Technopark, Trivandrum. The workshop gave a peek into the interesting and real-world applications of Hadoop stack. This was an exclusive event for those who were already developing Hadoop based applications or exploring how to adopt Hadoop Ecosystem for their business.

The workshop started off with a session on introduction to Hadoop Ecosystem by Jobin Wilson, Architect (Big Data Analytics & Automation) at Flytxt. This was followed by an interactive session with the Hadoop Developers on stage from the Big Data Analytics & Automation Team at Flytxt.

Talking to Kerala IT News, Abhay Doshi, Sr. Director - Product & Marketing, Flytxt said, “This is a small contribution from Flytxt to set up a Hadoop ecosystem here. We are happy with the response to today’s event and we will take this initiative forward by setting up a Hadoop Developer Forum in Kerala. This would be beneficial to the developer community and also the IT companies in Kerala who are in this domain.” The company will be hiring about 80 - 100 resources in the next four months, he added.

Flytxt has its corporate offices in the Netherlands and its headquarters and global delivery centre in Technopark, Trivandrum. Flytxt is present in Delhi, Mumbai, London and Johannesburg. Rajesh Mathachen, VP, Flytxt was also present.
