Tvm: The new Infosys campus near Technopark in Trivandrum would be fully operational by the end of the year. The employee strength at the new facility has recently crossed 3,000 and the campus, when complete, would accommodate about 6,000. This was stated by Kris Gopalakrishnan, CEO & MD, Infosys while interacting with the media yesterday in Trivandrum.

This new facility is in addition to its existing development centre at the Technopark campus here which employs more than 1,500 professionals. Speaking at a press conference organised by CII, Krish also said that Infosys will recruit about 30,000 IT professionals this year and about 3,000 would be for the new centre in Kerala.

“We ourselves have given a growth guidance of 16-18% this year, and the larger companies are all showing growth’ he added, underlining the growth picture with the statement that “We are scrambling to hire. It's a war for talent at this moment.” Infosys’ experience was that graduates from Kerala showed a higher conversion (percentage of job aspirants who qualify for the job) at the recruitment level.
