Technopark gets hi-tech 108 Ambulance

E-mail

Tvm: The techies in Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram got a special gift on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the LDF Government in Kerala. One of the hi-tech quick response 25 ambulances launched today under the Kerala Emergency Medical Services Project (KEMP) will be stationed in Technopark.

Talking to Kerala IT News, Mervin Alexander, CEO, Technopark said that the introduction of the new emergency response ambulance will be of immense benefit to the 25,000 strong Technopark community. The hi-tech ambulance will be stationed outside the utility building (Techno Mall).

Launched as a pilot project in Kerala, KEMP is an initiative of the Kerala Government’s Health Department in association with the National Rural Health Mission (NHRM). The emergency services can be availed through the 24x7 toll free number 108. The call centre and control room for 108 service based in Thejaswani building in Technopark is managed by Ziqitza Healthcare.

Nigil Ibrahim of Ziqitza mentioned that the ambulance has solar panels on its roof and this is the first time such a concept is being tried out in India. These advanced life saving ambulances have the latest equipments like ventilator, defibrillator with monitor, foetal monitor, etc. to tackle all kinds of emergencies including cardiology and pregnancy related problems. Modern trauma equipments like auto loading stretcher and scoop stretcher are also available to handle the person at the accident site to avert further injuries. The service of a trained emergency medical technician will be available in this ambulance which confirms to the CEN1789 European Union Standards for medical transportation vehicles.

Well, the next time there is a medical emergency, don't panic. Just call 108.

Well, I must thank you.
Some days back I had raised a doubt whether the 108 ambulance service makes it howling siren while doing its empty service also.

The 108 ambulance plying in front of my house switches on the siren only when it cross my house thereby helping others from this noise while doing its empty service.

KEMP deserves appreciation. Once again thank you.

I avail this opportunity to appreciate the efforts of "108" Ambulance staffs for their dedicated services . Some organisations should come forward to give some award to those people . May god bless them
