CM visits Infopark; Phase II on track

Kochi: Infopark had an unexpected visitor today. Chief Minister Shri  V S Achuthanandan who was in Kochi today visited Infopark and spent some time there but Saturday happens to holiday for most companies.

Speaking to the media during the visit, CM said that the Phase II of the Infopark was on track and the project would provide one lakh jobs. The project would get underway soon with the Global Tenders being floated in the next three months. He reiterated the government’s support to the IT industry in Kerala while mentioning the Rs.25 crore budgetary support for Infopark.

Regarding the SmartCity Kochi project, the CM said that the ball is in Tecom’s court and they should decide on whether they want to go ahead with the project.
