Kochi: SBL Software, the Leela Infopark based software division of SBL, a global IT & ITeS company, has launched e-Dinette, a cost-effective touch sensitive Digital Restaurant Management System (DRMS) for the hospitality industry. e-Dinette is a touch screen based product that will help restaurateurs and hotel owners to serve the customers with class and quality while managing the administration and back kitchen with ease and efficiency.

e-Dinette lets diners order food from the tablets / kiosk stationed at their respective tables. This system is designed to evade situations where the diners would have to depend on waiters or bartenders to make their order. The product also initiates impulse buying through its tantalizing images of each dish, drink, or beverage displayed on the screen. The self-service based system also facilitates music, videos, games, and other multimedia features which would keep the customers engaged while their order is being processed and brought to table.

In a release, P Gopakumar, MD & CEO, SBL said, “Apart from the customers, the restaurateurs are also at a competitive edge as this will give them the complete manipulative rights of the administrator. It will address the many anomalies faced by both the business owners and customers in the hospitality industry, in the most innovative and sophisticated manner”.

e-Dinette will enable restaurant and pub / bar owners to organise the entire system, keep any erroneous situation off the bay, attract more customers, increase the sales and eventually record a boost in the overall revenue per customer for each booth / table. The system supports auto updation features where the restaurateurs can digitally update the menu with new special items, promotions or prices. It paves the way for faster response to a wide range of hospitality services from placing orders in restaurants to checking out procedures from hotels.
