Kochi: Orion India Systems launched its Kochi operations by opening a Technology and Development Centre at the Infopark SEZ today.  Sunil Mehta, CEO, Orion group of companies, said that the new office will provide quality and cost-effective IT solutions to its global customers. The Centre has been provisioned with a sophisticated and robust infrastructure and logistics to meet the continuing and growing needs of Orion’s global customers.

“This centre will also institute advanced training programs that will help the workforce to be abreast of the latest products and applications that evolve every day”, said Narendra Kumar, director of Orion India Systems. “At a time when the IT companies around the world are stuck with cost cutting and downsizing, the ODC launch is an example of the continued success through innovation and efficient execution”, said Pradeep Thekkethodi, VP, Orion India Systems.

Orion is designing its own mobile convergence platform that will have the capability of interacting with multiple legacy data sources while rendering the data to numerous mobile devices without extensive development. With the growing customer base and demands for Orion products, the company plans to grow and scale the Kochi operations from the present 100 workforce to 400 over the next three years.
