Kochi: Ushus Technologies, the software division of Accel Transmatic Ltd., the Chennai headquartered Software and Media Services Company, has opened its second software development centre in Kerala at the L&T SEZ in Infopark, Kochi. The new centre will augment its existing facility at Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram.

Speaking on this occasion, N R Panicker, Chairman, Accel Transmatic said, “Opening the new software development centre in Kochi is an important milestone for the Accel Group. We have set ourselves ambitious targets to grow the technology services in the coming years and to grow our employee strength multi fold in Kerala. This is a small step in that direction. Along with our growth initiatives in our animation division, based out of Kinfra Film and Video Park in Thiruvanathpuram, and other group entities such as Accel Frontline and Accel IT Academy, the Accel Group is poised to play a leadership role in the IT ecosystem of Kerala in the coming years.”

Philip John, President - Software Division, Accel Transamtic said, “As a company incorporated in Kerala with 100% of its clients abroad, it is important that we keep the leading edge in Technologies and Infrastructure. With the state-of-the-art facilities, available in the Infopark, we should be able to perform better in the coming years.”

Ushus Technologies was founded in 2000 in Thiruvananthapuram and in the last few years, the software division has witnessed accelerated growth with new client acquisitions in USA. Ushus Technologies renders its services to product companies and works on leading edge technologies in Imaging, Multimedia and Networking with clients in Europe, USA, Japan and Israel.

Accel Transmatic Ltd. is part of the Rs.500 crore plus Accel Ltd., which is focussed on IT and Media. The company operates through two business divisions namely Ushus Technologies and Accel Animation Studios and has its subsidiary company in San Jose, California USA.
