Catch the Chief Minister of Kerala at work, live online

E-mail

Tvm: You can now check online what the Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri Oommen Chandy is doing, provided he is in his official chamber. And if he is not there, you can see what’s happening in the CM’s office at the Secretariat in Thiruvananthapuram. The live webcasting of the CM’s office was launched today. The CM’s office works 24x7 on all the days.

The official website of the Chief Minister was also launched on the occasion. As part of the 100 day programme of the UDF Government, which came into power in May 2011, the Chief Minister had announced a slew of e-governance initiatives including live webcasting from his office to increase transparency in governance. It’s an achievement for the government that this initiative has been implemented within 28 days of his announcement.

Interacting with the media, the CM said, “It is a priority of this government to make its functioning transparent. We will carefully attend all the petitions that we receive on the website.” He also added that details about the assets of the Ministers would be uploaded on the CM’s website and this would be updated every year. A toll free number for people to call the CM’s office would be introduced soon.

The weekly Cabinet briefing from the PR Chamber is also expected to go live on the website from next week. There are also plans for live webcasting of CM’s programmes in Trivandrum city. The webcasting has been implemented by C-DiT. Two surveillance cameras, one each in the CM’s chamber and office and a dedicated internet connection from BSNL is being used for this purpose.

During 2004-06, in his previous tenure as Kerala’s Chief Minister, Shri Oommen Chandy had initiated live webcasting from his office but it was discontinued when the LDF came into power in 2006 and V S Achuthanandan became the CM.

Good idea !.
this should reclaim the lost image of UDF and Ommen chandy.
If they really want to do it ,
they should do it for the ministers and the secretariat and the other government offices which are dens of bureaucracy,
You will agree with me if you happened to visit this places for any reasons.

Ommen Chandy cannot escape from his KSU style tactics to fool others. This Camera thing is another one of his tricks to trick others. So far he has fooled 51 people in this page alone. He would install Camera at his office, but, we all know that bribe deals won't take place at his office. He can install camera at his office and go to other places to do back door deals. What a crook!!!!!

Honorable CM;

Please educate the office staffs and the visitors to behave gently in the office as their performance in the office is viewed by the people all over the world. Advice them to keep officiality and to avoid the visitors standing beside the cabine, drinking coffee in standing possition. Supply the refreshments, if necessary, in a seperate place like visitors area. Qader wearing party men standing beside the office bearers for long time gives bad impression to the general public.

it is better to show as much to public as can be exibited by Govt.

new steps may be taken toimprove education strategy in kerala
other wise we will loss all what we have achieved during our past periods
a total reshuffling of state syllabus and mixing it with central syllabus is to be made
otherwise almost all pupil will be away from our main stream

Respected sir
I have already sent a letter to your office regarding the deliberate exclusion of S.N.College Cherthala and St.Michael's college Cherthala from PSC exams. But I didn't received any reply till now. These two institutions are on NH 47 and a lot of students from far away places can reach easily to these colleges .The PSC office at Alappuzha shows a step mother policy towards these institutions.By avoidng these two institutions, they are setting up exam centres in far away places and earning TA and DA.These two colleges are very near to those peple who lost their dear ones in a boat tragedy in Kumarakom some years back. These two centres were excluded in the last LDC exam for Alappuzha District.Even todays psc exam is not conducting in these two institutions.I saw a lot of people from Trivandrum areas are roaming in Ernakulam bus stand to go to interior places of ernakulam District to write PSC exam.So I kindly request you to consider this matter seriously and save the poor job seekers from travelling long distance to write psc exams.Thank You

Sir,
Being an Indian i really feel proud for the process that you have initiated to generate a corruption free state. If this particular step is made mandatory through constitutional amendment then we could aspire for a corruption free India. Lets gather the public opinion on this issue and knock the judiciary for making webcast compulsory in every Indian state.

respected sir,
AS A GOOD START WHY CANT THE GOVT TAKE A GOOD STEP TO CONTROL THE AVAILABILITY OF LIQUORS FROM EARLY MORNING?
IT IS BETTER TO OPEN THE BARS INCLUDING CIVIL OUTLETS ONLY AFTER MID OF DAY THAT IS ONLY FROM 1PM ONWARDS
IT WILL HELP THE MASS INCLUDING LADIES
THIS MAY REDUCE THE REVENUE OF THE STATE
BUT WILL SURELY INCREASE THE PROSPERITY OF THE STATE AS A HOLE AS FAR AS THE NEW MINISTRY IS CONCERNED A GOOD ONE

FROM THE MEMBERS OF EVEN MLA"S THERE WILL BE UNWILLINGNESS AS THEY ARE HOLDING SOME BARS IN THE NEW MINISTRY
ANYWAY HOPING SUCH A HOT AND BRAVE DECISION WILL TAKE BY YOUR NEW BORN MINISTRY
THIS NEEDS A CONSULTATION WITH OPPOSITION AND THE SAME MAY BE TELECASTED AT THE SAME TIME THEN ONLY THE PUBLIC COULD KNOW WHO ACTUALLY IS OPPOSING IT! WILL YOU IN YOUR NEW SITE TAKE SUCH A BRAVE DECISION?

In the public transport system the fare-stage is not at all fair. The common man has to pay more than he travels even within the rules.

In our state Rs.5/- is the minimum charge for that she can travel 2.5 Kms. Whereas here for 10 Kms. one have to pay Rs.7/-, the problem is that the fare-stage is not between Kms. but between places. If she is living in between these two places one have to pay Rs.7/- to reach the destination, even though the place will be below 2.5 Kms. of travelling. (Actually she only have to pay Rs.5/-).

In the KSRTC buses the printed ticket is given mentioning the place from where she has started joruney, where as the place from where fare-stage has started, it not justifiable.

Sir, Kindly do something fast for Mullaperiyar dam. It is under great danger, and if it explodes the biggest tragedy in world history will again happen. And we miss our relatives and friends all those who lives there. More than 45 lakhs people living in middle kerala will be much affected. It will finish God's own country for ever. If it takes time then do some action to flow off water from the dam.
Hope you will go ahead with all our suggestions.
All the best.

Respected sir,
We are really proud for having such a powerful Chief Minister. First of all, we congratulate you for launching an online webcasting of CM's office. (Even foreign countries eagerly noticed the newly launched webcasting.) Really opposing parties are frequently creating all problems because they know that you are the one who live with people and work for people. You are having people's mass support and they are trying to break it up. We believe that only you can do something for Kerala. Go ahead very fast.
All our prayers and support with you.

Respected sir,
It is about three years we people are very much struggling with the road construction. The NH road widening in between ulloor and kochulloor in Trivandrum is still in starting stage. Sir, kindly take some action. Only widening can give us some relief from the traffic problems which occurs every day during the office hours. This is the most narrowest portion which we can see in the whole NH. So, Please help us from these traffic and dust problems which are affecting us for last few years. Thank you.

Congratulations for the new idea! Please continue the innovative ideas. People of Kerala will definitely support you. They want change. Plaease try to implement the following:
1) Strict adherence of trffic rules in city. please put heavy fine for unwanted overtaking, using mobile while driving, crossing traffic signal lines, unwanted horns in traffic signals etc. A descipline public shows the culture of our city/state. Please try to start implementing of rules from trivandrum city.
2) A video film may be made showing the diseases spread through spitting in road and urinating in public places. This should be shown in all schools and public places in city for one month. After this a fine system should be implemented for spitting in the road/throwing waster materials to road. Traffic surveillence camera/mufty policemen should be used for finding out the culprits.
With Regards,
Jai Hind!

Now the vehicles are using the front glas now a days tend. And more over front glass also for 50% black color. Kindly strict on this and Pls inform to Police to take serious action against vehicle glass cooling. If required aloow only 20% cooling. Thank you sir.

Respected CM,
I am soldier of the Indian Army and resident of Trivandrum. Everyday in the news paper we are reading about the assault of criminals/goondas with weapons on people or their properties and the police does nothing.

Why are your Govt protecting them. Why cant your police shoot them down. When you start shooting down the armed criminals...the others will never try to do it. The Tamil Nadu police is encountering the hard core criminals with Govt Orders.

So please try to make a new law and give permission to police to shoot down the armed criminals and protect the lives and property of local peoples.

Or otherwise, you give permission to local people to keep guns to take self protection from such criminals.

i am doing research in Kerala University. At present we( research scholars) are getting only Rs 6000/- as fellowship. This amount is insufficient to meet our research requirements. Comparing with other universities this amount is very low. Reservation candidates, UGC scholars etc are getting Rs12000/- and Rs 16000/- as fellowship. As they can provide better results in their research studies, we are struggling with our fellowship to provide better results .So I request you to take action on this matter and provide fellowship which is similar to the amount they are getting.I am sure you will understand our problem and will take necessary actions which will encourage our research studies.

Sir,
It is high time we look in to the solid waste management of the state. Being a water logged region, this can be one of the reasons for the continuous epidemics of various types in the state.

Consider Kerala as a single city and create master plan for solid waste management and hence cleaning of all our water bodies. You may create a separate company or board for the purpose to collect and treat the waste all over the state, along the new proposed N-S corridor both by road and water. Each corporation/municipality/panchayath, along with hospitals, markets, factories, hotels or anybody who generate waste should be paying to this company to treat and dispose the waste developed by them.

Until the state Govt take some solid measures of the sort and address the issue, our state will be stinking with rotten waste all over the place. Law should enacted as a criminal offence for anybody who pollute our water bodies. Save our people and state from continuous epidemics.
Plz do have attention on this serious issue.

Madhu PM
Respected Sir,

I would like to bring to your kind attention to the following:-
Waste management and beautiful Kerala is today’s top discussion point. We all Keralaites are welcoming the good decision taken by the govt. for this. Also Opposition leaders have extended their full support.
We all know development of Technical facilities and implementation of strict law against those who are not following the order can only provide 50% result. Remaining 50% is depending on action by the public. Here govt. need to work effectively i.e. from ward/panchayat level.
If govt. can utilize the services of our educated and unemployed citizens and the services of returned Pravaasi malayalees for the promotional and public convincing activities by considering them as govt.representatives with incentives and reasonable salaries, we can achieve 100% result as well as it will double the image of our govt. and rulers. Also it will help to increase the workmanship of our young generation who is wasting their educated and unemployed skill for non-developmental activities. By this way we can generate many good citizens from our ward/panchayat level.
“A good strategy will lead to a successful campaign”.

Secondly, I wants to bring your kind attention towards the genuine problems facing by Pravaasi malayalees who is spending most part of their life in Gulf countries by staying far from their all relations. Every Pravasi is working in outside for the welfare of their families and most part of their income is sending to Kerala. An own house in Kerala is the dream of every pravaasi malayalees. As far as low income earners (pravasi) is concerned, their dream will remain as it is until the last breath of their life.

If the govt. will help our pravaasi malayalees by providing interest free housing loan for making their own house it would be really a great help for us. I hope govt. will consider this humble suggestion which will fulfill the dream of our Pravaasi Malayalees.

Thanks and regards,

Madhu PM.
