CM launches 'Public Grievance Redressal Cell' Call Centre

E-mail

Tvm: A Citizen Call Centre was launched in the Kerala Chief Minister’s Office at the Secretariat in Thiruvananthapuram on September 01, 2011 as part of the UDF Government’s 100 days programme in office. The ‘Public Grievance Redressal Cell’ call centre would facilitate people to register their grievances and complaints directly to the Chief Minister’s Office either by telephone or through email. The call centre would function 24x7 and can be accessed on 1076.

The call centre would be in addition to the existing provisions to lodge complaints with the CM’s Office. The Chief Minister’s website also has a Citizen Corner where people can register complaints or give a petition to the CM online. The Government of Kerala is very particular in addressing petition(s) from the public and the office of the CM wants people to use this online platform only to send their complaints. There are other provisions like Vision 2030 Idea Box for giving suggestions and ideas to address issues regarding development of the State. There is a separate facility for Citizen Journalism for bringing issues or other information to the CM’s notice.

As part of the 100 day programme of the UDF Government, which came into power in May 2011, the Chief Minister had announced a slew of e-governance initiatives including live webcasting from his office, to increase transparency in governance and a toll free number for people to call the CM’s office.

Citizens can also lodge their grievances related to any department in Government of Kerala through the online complaint monitoring system of CM’s Public Grievance Redressal Cell (cmcc.kerala.gov.in). The grievance would be forwarded to the concerned authorities for needful action.

While the initiative taken is laudable, it need to be fine tuned to be more effectve.
For eg, presently there no way other than tele calling the cell to get ref no of the grievance received. It can easily be sent on line immediately as being done by IRCTC . Further the status report of the progress of action initiated need to be put on website as in the case of Passport Applications.

Respected sir,

This is to bring your immediate attention to the following matter.

There was a road maintenance work done by TVM CORPORATION on Valiyasala kavil Temple Road during second half of November 2011.It was on a very bad condition earlier and because of the hue & cry of people & worshipers from different sides, the corporation decided to do the maintenance works there atlast. However, even after one month the road came in to the previous situation due to the poor quality of work.

This is a huge loss to the public fund & wastage of money.

Hence, on behalf of the public interest and others, using the road, I hereby request your immediate intervention in to the matter to resolve the issue.

Respected sir,
I am leaving in neerazhi lane , Ullor. There is no garbage point in our locality so people throwing their domestic waste here and there on the road side. So there should be a provision of collection of garbage form door to door or the construction of public dustbin by the TVM municipal corporation.

On government and private buses, the bus route should be written either in English or Hindi because it causes inconvenience to the people of other states to travel from one place to another.

I will be obliged if the above issues are taken into account and should be rectified as soon as possible for the public welfare.

Respected sir this is to bring to your kind attention in to the following matter
I am a candidate who is included in the HSST mathematics rank list (main) from 2008.We were very happy when the government had taken the decision to extend the validity of the rank list till April 30.But when I contacted the Higher secondary Board through telephone they had given the information that the expected vacancies due to the retirement of teachers on March 2012 will be filled by promoting the juniors and not by recruiting from the existing rank list . So we are not going to get the benefit of the government order since the board had taken such a decision.
So I request you to look into the matter and take appropriate step to resolve the issue.
Thanking you
