Akshaya to expand G2C services bouquet

Tvm: Akshaya, the Government to Citizen Services’ initiative of the Kerala State IT Mission, is all set to expand the services offered by them across their Customer Service Centres in Kerala. This was stated by Dr. Ajay Kumar IAS, Principal Secretary (IT) while inaugurating the Akshaya Day celebrations in Trivandrum today.

The Akshaya Day was organised on the occasion of the Eighth Anniversary of Akshaya at the Technopark in Trivandrum. The event also marked the culmination of the Akshaya Janasevana Pracharana Yatra after traversing all the 14 districts. The Yatra, which was flagged off from Kasargod on November 10, 2010 had reached Trivandrum yesterday.

In his inaugural speech, Dr. Ajay Kumar lauded the excellent work being done by the Akshaya Entrepreneurs in bringing the benefits of technology to the entire population of the State. He also mentioned that necessary policy changes were being made to enable the over 2,000 Akshaya CSCs to offer new and better services.

Suman Billa IAS, Commissioner, Commercial Taxes; P Sukumar, ED, CHIAK; Kishore Balaji, Corporate Head, Intel Learning Programme; Dr. P Rajasekharan, Chief Agriculture Nodal Officer, UNDP Project; Suseela Titus, ED, Keltron; P V Unnikrishnan, Member, State Planning Board; R Ajith Kumar, Information & Systems Analyst, IIITM-K; Dr. K Santhana Raman, SIO, NIC and K R Jyothilal IAS, Secretary (Food & Civil Supplies) participated in different sessions during the day long event.

Ishita Roy IAS, Director, IT Mission; Korath V Mathew, Director, Akshaya and Senior Officials from Technopark were among those present on the occasion. The complete Akshaya Day Celebrations were webcast live on Kerala IT News.
