Tvm: The 10th edition of the State School IT Mela will be held on January 13-14, 2011 at the Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram. The highlight of this edition would be the participation of the Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary students. About 500 students from across Kerala are expected to attend the two day IT fest.
Competitions will be held in Digital Painting, Multimedia Presentation, Web Page Designing and IT Quiz. High School students will have the additional categories of IT Project and Malayalam Computing.
According to Anvar Sadath, Executive Director, IT@School, “Apart from these competitions, the IT Mela would see sessions on various IT topics of interest to the students. The students would also get a chance to interact with the IT Professionals in Technopark and see the companies there.” Students who won the first and second place in the District level IT Melas would be participating in the State level competitions.
The State School IT Mela 2010 saw Kozhikode winning the overall Championship with Wayanad and Kannur Districts sharing the honours for the second position. Presentation Higher Secondary School, Chevayur, Kozhikkode got the highest point while KPES High School, Kayakkodi, Kozhikkode came second.
